According to a report from the Electronics TakeBack Coalition from June 2010, New York State is leading the way when it comes to electronics recycling! Currently, 24 states have passed e-waste laws regarding the proper handling and disposal of end of life electronics. All laws except California use the Producer Responsibility approach, where the manufacturers must pay for recycling. This means that 65% of the population of the U.S. is now covered by a state e-waste recycling law.
