Sunnking, in partnership with Camp Good Days and Special Times, is sponsoring a program in conjunction with Earth Day to turn your old electronics into money to help improve the quality of life for children, adults and families whose lives have been touched by cancer. It is easy to participate, and your efforts will help to make a huge difference in the lives of people who have been afflicted by this dreaded disease.
How E-Scrap For Camp Works
- For the entire Month of April Sunnking will facilitate employee electronics recycling collections events at various business locations in and around Buffalo, NY.
- Employees are encouraged to bring in their old/used electronics for recycling by Sunnking.
- Sunnking will donate a percentage of profits (based on volume collected) to Camp Good Days on behalf of each participating business.
- The business with the most weight collected during their scheduled collection week will receive an extra $500 from Sunnking to be donated to Camp Good days.
In addition to the month long event for participating Buffalo businesses, Sunnking will also be holding an electronics recycling collection event for the residential community on Friday, April 22nd from 8am – 2pm at Camp Good Days located at 6430 Transit Rd., Depew, NY 14043. A percentage of profits based on the weight collected at this residential collection event will also be donated to Camp Good Days on behalf of Sunnking and everyone who recycles their electronics at the event.
There is no cost to drop off your electronics, however Sunnking will NOT accept:
- Refrigerators
- Household Hazardous Waste Materials
- Liquids
- Yard Equipment
- Small Gas Powered Equipment
- Mercury containing devices
- Items leaking fluid
- Radioactive materials
- PCB containing materials

BUFFALO, NY (March 8, 2011) – Sunnking, Inc., (www.sunnking.com) an electronics recycling company with facilities in Buffalo, Brockport & Rochester, NY, is proud to announce a new partnership with Camp Good Days & Special Times (www.campgooddays.org) to help raise money to send children diagnosed with cancer to camp.
The new program named “E-Scrap For Camp” encourages local businesses in Buffalo, NY to set up an electronics recycling collection location at their office for employees to responsibly recycle their old/used electronics and equipment and help raise money for a good cause. The program will run throughout the month of April to coincide with Earth Day. Businesses can sign up to participate by visiting www.sunnking.com/blog/escrap4camp.
Sunnking will provide transportation logistics for the e-scrap that is collected, and the necessary supplies to set up an electronics recycling collection location. Sunnking will also donate a percentage of profits based on the weight of electronics collected and recycled from participating businesses with an additional $500 to be donated on behalf of the business that collects the most amount of equipment.
Items that are acceptable for recycling include: laptops & desktops, computer accessories, TV’s & monitors, audio/video equipment, mp3 players, communications equipment, servers & IT equipment, printers & scanners, copiers & fax machines, cellphones & PDA’s, medical/lab equipment, and anything else with a circuit board.
