Used (And Re-used) Right Here
Home Grown?
Believe it or not, not every piece of electronic equipment that you’ve recycled in the past has stayed here in the U.S…
Check out this article, Congress introduces bill to stop the global dumping of e-waste:
“On Sept 29, 2010, Reps. Gene Green and Mike Thompson introduced a bill in Congress to make it illegal for U.S. “recyclers” to send toxic e-waste to developing nations.
It’s a common practice for “recyclers” to export electronic products from the U.S. to developing countries, where the toxics inside cause great harm.
This bill will allow exports of tested and working parts and products, as well as products under warranty, exported by the manufacturers, and products subject to recalls.”

The Good News
It’s time to toot our horn (and rightfully so!).
All electronics scrap material collected by Sunnking stays in the U.S. As you may or may not have already known, our first steps in receiving used electronics is to find out how it can be rebuilt, re-used or re-purposed.
If it can be either of the above, there’s a good chance you’ll be seeing it in our Ebay store. If it doesn’t get sold there, it’s broken down and the basic pieces are then recycled back into the market here in the U.S.
What Happens Here, Stays Here
You can rest assured that we’re not shipping our e-waste to other countries. As a matter of fact, we don’t even use that term (“e-waste”) in our company at all. It’s e-scrap (meaning it has value). Only 3% of what comes in to our company actually gets “wasted”. THREE PERCENT! That’s a stat we’re proud of, and even as low as it is, we’re continuing to strive to work it down to zero.
With upcoming legislation like this bill, it’s going to become increasingly more important for companies and individuals to choose wisely when they pick who they will use to recycle their electronics.
Why not go with what you already know works? Pick Sunnking.
