Lead Repair Technician

Sunnking Retail Center, located in Brockport NY is a customer oriented computer sales and service center. We are looking for the right candidate to fill a vacancy in our computer repair department. The right person MUST have experience in the following areas:

Leadership

• Ability to organize and maintain organization
• Ability to manage and keep track of lots of information
• Ability to facilitate the completion of service work by others
• Strong listening and verbal skills
• Maintain quality standards
• Train other technicians in repair processes and procedures
• Develop skills of other repair technicians

Interpersonal

• Clean and orderly
• Must like working with the public
• Great interpersonal communication skills
• Customer service experience
• Retail experience (a plus, will train)
• Flexible and a quick learner
• Ability to handle high-paced work environment
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
• Ability to follow procedures and set processes

Technology Skills

• A+ Problem solving skills
• PC and Macintosh experience
• Ability to perform quality and quick repairs
• Experience repairing both desktop and laptop hardware including LCD replacement and soldering
• Removal of virus and malicious software of all kinds
• Repair of operating system issues, PC and Apple
• Ability to repair iPods (a plus, not required)
• Programming and networking skills (a plus, not required)

Education

• HS Diploma required, technical certifications and training certificates 

Job Description

• Responsible for the coordination and facilitation of the completion of service jobs with attention to quality and timeliness
• Orders parts required for computer repairs
• Maintains parts inventory database
• Contacts customers with service jobs or special order items being held over 30 days
• Informs management of significant issues, trends and opportunities
• Help identify and solve quality of service issues
• Responsible for the timely diagnosis, repair and upgrade of computer hardware and software issues including virus and malicious software removal
• Responsible for performing all computer services and support offerings
• Organizes and maintains inventory of computer parts, tools, supplies and materials used in the diagnosis and repair of computer systems
• Help determine, create and implement cost effective and productive solutions to diagnose and repair software and hardware issues
• Prepares computers and other hardware for sale in the retail center
• Provides customer support for inside sales of computers, parts and accessories
• Completes sales of items and service to customers using POS system
• Provides onsite service for customers as required
• Responsible for keeping the service area clean and neat
• Helps organize and process inventory as needed
• Aids in the general maintenance and upkeep of the store
• Helps lift and carry materials being dropped off for recycling
• Provides technical assistance to Sunnking systems administrator when required
• Parts out computers for repair inventory
