Home » E-Scrap 4 Camp - Support Camp Good Days Through Responsible Electronics Recycling

Sunnking, in partnership with Camp Good Days and Special Times, has created a program entitled "E-Scrap 4 Camp" to facilitate recycling old electronics from participating locations to generate funds to help children, adults & families whose lives have been touched by cancer. We are excited to announce that this year we will be expanding the program to include both Buffalo AND Rochester!

For the month of April 2013, Sunnking will provide free electronics recycling pick-ups at participating schools, businesses, non-profits and other organizations in the Buffalo AND Rochester area. Participating locations are encouraged to collect old and unwanted electronics from employees, friends and family. For every pound of electronics collected Sunnking will make a monetary donation to Camp Good Days.

Camp Good Days and Special times is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for children, adults and families whose lives have been touched by cancer. The primary purpose of Camp Good Days is to make the lives of children dealing with cancer as happy and rewarding as possible, and to give back the childhood that cancer has taken away.

"We are excited to be expanding this unique fundraising event to the Greater Rochester area. This program has had great success in the Buffalo area, and we anticipate similar support and success here locally. All of the programs and services we provide, for so many children and families dealing with cancer, are offered free of charge for the participants. We are only able to continue this because of the generous support from so many individuals and organizations, like Sunnking, Inc. and the success of special fundraising events and activities, like E-Scrap 4 Camp."

Gary Mervis - Chairman & Founder
Camp Good Days & Special Times

“We have been very fortunate to have such outstanding support from Sunnking. Their funds have helped us continue to provide fun and laughter for many children dealing with cancer, which we are beyond grateful for.  It is always so inspiring to see businesses and individuals come together to support our kids.  Not to mention, we are safely recycling old electronics for free. It really is a great opportunity for both the Buffalo and Rochester community!”

Lisa Donato Booz - Regional Director

  • Each participating location will have the opportunity to collect electronics from employees, friends and family for 1 week during the month of April.
  • Packaging supplies will be provided by Sunnking at no cost.
  • Electronics will be picked up from each location and recycled at no cost.
  • Sunnking will track and record the net weight of electronics recycled from each participating location and will follow up with a Certificate of Recycling & Destruction.
  • At the end of the program Sunnking will donate money to Camp Good Days for every pound of electronics collected and recycled.
  • The participating location with the highest volume of materials collected will win $500 worth of refurbished computer equipment from Sunnking.

Collection & Packaging

  • You will receive your requested number of pallets and boxes. They will need to be set up in an area that either has ground level or dock level access so that our driver can maneuver the pallet with a hand pallet jack. A standard pallet with a box on top measures approximately W48” x L40” x H48” Please be aware of the size of your entrances before staging for collection. Please print out and hang the list of acceptable materials on or near the collection boxes.
  • All electronics collected should be placed in the cardboard boxes provided. Be sure to lay the box on top of one of the pallets provided before filling. Large items such as console televisions or copiers can be set to the side and will be loaded on the truck separately.
