NIAGARA FALLS, NY – In anticipation of Earth Day, Sunnking Sustainable Solutions and Goodwill of WNY teamed up last weekend for the area’s first “Ultimate Spring Cleaning Event”. This free collection allowed residents to recycle their electronics, donate household items or drop off both for the drive-thru event.

In total, the event drew just over a thousand people and filled nearly 13 trailers between Sunnking and Goodwill. All items in these trailers will now contribute to the circular economy through recycling and reuse.

Sunnking Sustainable Solutions, serving the area since 2000, specializes in electronic recycling and sustainable business solutions, including ESG (Environmental, Social Governance) reporting. They host yearly electronic recycling events to encourage residents to properly recycle electronic devices and provide free drop-off bins at their Brockport location. Goodwill of WNY, serving Western New York since 1920, provides education, training and career services for people with barriers to employment. They are also known for their second-hand retail stores, boasting gently used items at a great price.

"The partnership of Goodwill of Western New York and Sunnking with Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls is a great example of community minded businesses and non-profit organizations using their individual expertise to work together and make a real difference," said Thomas Ulbrich, President and CEO of Goodwill of Western New York. "Not only is it convenient to have everyone in one place but donors can have the confidence that any item they bring will be recycled responsibly or given a second life to benefit people living right in the donor's community."
