Village of Churchville Hosts Free Residential Electronics Recycling Event With Sunnking Inc.
ROCHESTER, NY (April 18, 2011) – Sunnking Electronics Recycling and the Village of Churchville will host a free residential electronics recycling collection event on Saturday, April 23rd from 10am-1pm. The event will take place at the Town of Riga Highway Garage located at 6475 East Buffalo Road Churchville, NY 14428. Foodlink, Sunnking’s official charitable partner in Monroe County, will receive a monetary donation through the “We-Cycle Donation Program” based on the volume of e-scrap collected from this event.
“eScrap is a growing concern on a global level, and most people don’t realize that the majority of these electronics are 100% recyclable” says Duane Beckett, President and Owner of Sunnking. “There is a variety of harmful materials such as lead, mercury, and other nasty elements that go into the production of everyday consumer electronics. It’s imperative that we recycle them in a responsible manner to prevent them from destroying our environment.”
Residents are encouraged to bring electronics such as laptops, desktops, computer accessories, TV’s, monitors, audio/video equipment, mp3 players, communications equipment, servers & IT equipment, printers, scanners, copiers, fax machines, cellphones, PDA’s, medical/lab equipment, and anything else with a circuit board or cord.
