Join Sunnking, Inc. as an Electronics Collection Event Staff member! We’re expanding our event team to support electronics recycling events held across New York State. No experience or degree required.
Job Description
Electronics Collection Event Staff assist with a variety of tasks during community electronics recycling events. You’ll be scheduled based on event needs and your availability. This is hands-on, physical labor.
Responsibilities include:
- Event setup (placing cones, gaylords, pallets, etc.)
- Unloading residential electronics from vehicles
- Sorting collected materials into appropriate bins
- Stacking, wrapping, and palletizing large and heavy electronics
- Loading trailers for safe transport (using a pallet jack)
- Cleaning up materials, including broken items and glass
- Miscellaneous duties such as cutting cords, breaking down boxes, and replenishing supplies
- Other similar duties as assigned by management
- Travelling to different areas of New York to support our statewide program (Buffalo, Syracuse, Rochester)

Schedule & Hours
- Select Saturdays only (March–November)
- Typical event hours: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM (average of 5 hours per event)
- Paid travel time in addition to event hours
- Total paid time may vary based on travel distance and business volume
- Shifts may range between 4–10 hours, with most events lasting 5–8 hours
- Approximately 10–11+ events per season
Compensation
- $25/hour
- Mileage reimbursement (if applicable)
- Weekly pay
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be available to work Saturdays
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic (0 tolerance for no call no showing)
- Must have reliable personal transportation
- Must wear steel or composite toe shoes
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions (rain, snow, heat)
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Must be responsible and trustworthy when handling residential electronics containing personal data
- Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States
- English proficiency preferred but not required
Work Environment
- Event locations throughout the Buffalo, Syracuse, and Rochester areas
- Outdoor work environment with varying weather, dust, and noise
- Supportive, team-focused atmosphere
Pay: $25.00 per hour
