We are in the process of transitioning our operations from our Brockport, NY facility to our new facility in Bloomfield, NY, with the move expected to be finalized by March or April 2026. During the transition period, we will also provide compensation for travel expenses incurred while training at our Brockport facility.
Position Overview
The Dock Foreman is essential to the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse. In this role, you’ll oversee the weighing and documentation of shipments, ensure materials are routed properly, and help maintain a safe, clean, and productive dock environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Weigh and record all incoming and outgoing truckloads.
- Identify types of electronics for proper routing within the facility.
- Perform accurate weight calculations using basic math skills.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, material handlers, and supervisors.
- Maintain a safe and clean dock area, ensuring PPE compliance.
- Collaborate with the Logistics Team on scheduling incoming and outgoing loads.
- Support warehouse operations and assist management with process improvements.
- Complete a training rotation in production roles to understand material flow.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3 - 5 years previous warehouse or distribution center experience.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with electronic equipment (new and old).
- Forklift and pallet jack operation skills.
- Basic computer proficiency (Excel, Outlook).
Preferred Skills
- Strong communication (verbal and written).
- Passion for technology and electronics.
- Hands-on problem-solving ability.
- Record-keeping accuracy.
- Ability to multitask, work independently, and collaborate with a team.
- Comfortable working in varied conditions (dust, noise, outdoor weather).
