WHITESBORO, NY, September 8th, 2022 -- eCaboose, the retail arm of Sunnking electronics recycling, has debuted its second location with the grand opening of a new store in Whitesboro. The doors officially opened on Wednesday, September 7th, 2022; this new location will offer new and refurbished electronics and device repair services to central New Yorkers.
Located at 272 Oriskany Blvd., Whitesboro, NY, the new eCaboose location shares building space with Sunnking's satellite recycling facility. Due to pandemic-caused delays, the store's opening comes more than two years after its announcement in 2020.
"This opening has been in the works for a while, and for us, it's the culmination of years of planning," said Adam Shine, president of Sunnking. "Central New York is very important to us as we know it's filled with hard-working people who need devices to reliably get them through their day. eCaboose will be a place for parents, students, or anyone to find what they need, save money on those devices, and make an environmentally influential decision in the same process."
According to a consumer study, 70% of shoppers say they are likely to buy refurbished electronics, and 94% state they have bought refurbished in the last three years.
eCaboose opened its first brick-and-mortar location in Brockport, NY, in 2005, previously known as the Sunnking Retail Center and Computers Etc. The store was rebranded eCaboose in 2016.
The Utica Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony, inviting community members and local officials to celebrate the store's opening.

The public is welcome to celebrate the occasion and experience free giveaways and the store's device selection firsthand.
eCaboose will stock a rotating inventory of new and refurbished computers, phones, TVs, tablets, gaming systems, and accessories. The store will also feature a Discount Den offering products up to 70% off. eCaboose Experts will also be on hand to provide exceptional service repair and maintenance for consumer electronics.
