Sunnking recently had the privilege of visiting the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central New York (RMHCNY) in Syracuse, where we were welcomed by Zoe White, their Community Engagement Coordinator. From the moment we stepped inside, it was clear that this House is more than just a building. They've created a haven for families in difficult moments. Every detail, from the décor to the demeanor of the staff, radiates warmth and care.

The House is designed to be as comfortable and functional as possible for families with children receiving medical care nearby. Located just minutes from the hospital, it’s a place where families can focus on what matters most without worrying about where they’ll sleep or eat.
Here are just some of the thoughtful features we saw:
They’ve never had a night where there weren’t enough rooms, ensuring every family has a safe place to stay.

RMHCNY exists to keep families close to their hospitalized children, providing a place of comfort, care, and community when it’s needed most. Whether a family is there for a few days or several months, the House offers the support they need to navigate one of life’s most challenging experiences.
It’s not just about providing a roof—it’s about creating a home filled with love, understanding, and the resources to make each day a little brighter.

Keeping the House running takes a village, and there are many ways to be part of their mission:
Every effort, big or small, makes a difference for the families who walk through their doors.
If you'd like to learn more about RMHCNY, come ask them in person! They'll be at our upcoming Warehouse Bin-anza Sale.
Our tour of the Ronald McDonald House was more than just an introduction.
We got a reminder of the power of compassion, community, and the comfort of a warm, welcoming space. We left inspired, and we hope you will be too.
We’re proud to partner with RMHCNY through our Summer Warehouse Electronics Bin-anza Sale event in Utica. It’s an easy way for our community to shop sustainably while contributing to a cause that touches so many lives.
